The Complete
Aruch HaShulchan

R’ Yechiel Michel HaLevi Epstein, Av Beis Din of Novardok · Orach Chaim · Yoreh De’ah · Even HaEzer · Choshen Mishpat

Eleven volumes of the Aruch HaShulchan are already in print in this edition. Now we are setting out to finish the work — every remaining siman of all four sections of the Shulchan Aruch, translated and elucidated in full. Each siman, each chapter of halachos, each volume can carry the name of the one who brings it to light.

Aruch HaShulchan, Orach Chaim Volume 1, hardcover

Why it should be brought to light

The whole of halachah, from its source to the practice. Begun in print. Waiting to be finished.

The Aruch HaShulchan walks through all four sections of the Shulchan Aruch from beginning to end. R’ Yechiel Michel Epstein traces every halachah from the Gemara, through the Rishonim and the Shulchan Aruch, to the practice of his own day — a code that thinks aloud, and a working tool of rabbanim and dayanim for over a century.

This edition gives the complete Hebrew with full nikud, an interlinear English translation phrase by phrase, practical-halachah boxes showing how the poskim of our generation rule on today’s questions, and the Tamtzis — the practical summary — closing every siman. Some simanim are already in print: the opening of Orach Chaim, Pesach, the Yamim Nora’im and Sukkos, and the laws of kashrus.

This sponsorship is for all the rest. Every siman that is not yet in print is open, in every section — and we will work through them in the order our patrons make possible. A family can take a single siman, a chapter of halachos, a full volume, or a whole series, and see it carry their name for generations.

1,388 simanim remain — across Orach Chaim, Yoreh De’ah, Even HaEzer and Choshen Mishpat.
